A high-standard hotel in Geilo is looking for an a la carte chef

Geilo is Norway’s most developed skiing destination, placed in the center of Norway.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the beautiful mountain scenery. The hotel includes 127 guestrooms, a great restaurant with lovely cuisine, an elegant bar, a lounge that can be made into a ballroom, a nice library, a wine cellar for wine degustations, a pub, and a wellness center with 2 swimming pools, Turkish steambath, jacuzzi, and a sauna.

We are looking for a chef who wants to be part of an inspiring, exciting, and professional environment. You must have culinary training, be proactive, and efficient, and have a good mood and a good work ethic. It is an advantage if you understand Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish, but this is not a requirement. If you are looking for a developing and exciting cooking job, then contact us.
The menu is mainly a la carte and 3 dishes of the day for groups. At times there can also be a buffet. Especially Christmas and Easter. The kitchen consists of 7-9 chefs depending on the season.

Location: Geilo
Working period: ASAP – 30.08.2023 with a possibility to prolong
Salary: 215-225 NOK/h+10,2% vacation money
Accommodation: 3750 NOK per month including electricity
separate room with private bathroom. Common living room and kitchen. Staff canteen for lunch and dinner
Staff food: 35 NOK per shift

The average working hours per month are 168 h.
The approximate monthly salary with normal hours is 220*168*10,2%= 40729 NOK before taxes (vacation money and overtime addition of 50% would be paid at the end of the contract). Taxes are ~25%.
Overtime addition: 50% (summarized working time with the calculation period of the whole working period).
